I've always dreamed of owning my own business. It started back in high school during a virtual business project — my team actually came in second place and presented to the California state panel. That experience planted a seed.
For years, I worked as a licensed life and health agent in the corporate insurance world. I learned the ropes, understood the products intimately, but I also saw the massive flaws in how big insurance companies treat people. You become a policy number, routed through call centers, completely detached from human connection.
I knew I could do it better. I left the corporate world to become an independent agent so I could truly serve the families of Oregon — shopping multiple carriers to find what's actually best for you, not what's best for a corporate quota.
The agency isn't just a business to me — it's deeply personal. The name "Mayden" is a combination of two of the most important people in my life: my late daughter, Maybelle, and my nephew, Ayden.
Every day I sit down to help a family protect their future, I am reminded of the legacy I carry through this name. It drives my commitment to every single client.
